Taking AIM at online leasing

This year's Apartment Internet Marketing conference in Scottsdale was a great success. Executive producer Steve Lefkovitz hosted, as multifamily leaders discussed where our industry is headed.

My presentation Online Leasing has Arrived was alongside folks from Camden Property Trust and Archon. We reviewed how to accept applications online, qualify renters and sign contracts without pen and paper.

Online leasing at NYC leader

"Rose Associates has fully moved its leasing services online."

Bob Scaglion, managing director of residential marketing for Rose Associates, an early adopter of On-Site in New York City, was interviewed by Multi-Housing News regarding online leasing. Rose is among the largest real estate managers in Manhattan.

"The process begins with the lease application and credit check. In a paper system, those two elements are photocopied and filed or distributed to multiple work groups. With an online service, all the information is accessible across a secure server.

All of this is less costly and more environmentally friendly due to the decrease in paper use and storage of printed files."

The upside of file cabinets being a waste of space is that you have more room to rent out! This notion is not lost on a real estate developer.

So how did Rose choose On-Site?

"It comes down to research and trial to find the right software to work with existing print systems and business operations."

Glad to be of assistance!
