Integrations with multifamily tech vendors enable apartment communities to move leasing operations online in record numbers

Campbell, Calif. –, the top provider of online leasing solutions for the apartment business, announced a key milestone for its flagship software solution: its software has achieved a record level of integration through partnerships with over two dozen leasing platforms and service providers.

On-Site built the real estate industry’s first listing-to-lease platform to allow apartment managers to accept online applications, qualify renters, generate personalized lease documents on the fly and invite new residents to electronically sign the lease documents. As the popularity of its services grew, On-Site met customer and renter demand by improving the user experience through integration development with other providers to minimize redundant work for communities.

“Our focus has always been on designing an intuitive experience for the renter while also playing nice in the sandbox with others,” said Jake Harrington, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at On-Site. “While we have an end-to-end solution ourselves, we recognize the need to fit into the customer’s existing architecture.”

On-Site broke new ground in 2001 as the first resident screening provider to integrate with RentBureau and incorporate rental payment data from landlords into its rental reports. On-Site screens an average of 800,000 residents annually. Over the last three years, more than 90% of the screening results On-Site users processed were part of an overall integrated system with two or more complementary solutions—from a website’s online application and pricing engine, to payment processor, to lease document generation and execution, to accounting software ledger. Solutions integrated with On-Site include Blue Moon, PayLease, Property Solutions, Vaultware, Yardi Voyager and YieldStar.

Many of the largest apartment management companies in the country, including Riverstone Residential and FPI Management, take advantage of On-Site’s robust integration capabilities.  “As a third-party management company, it’s important that the products we use coordinate effortlessly with any systems that our owners may be using,” said Mark Stringer, senior vice president of Riverstone Screening Services and Riverstone Receivables at Riverstone Residential Group. “We have found that many providers either don’t have the ability to work with multiple systems, or that they require implementation of third-party products. With On-Site, we now have a fully integrated online leasing solution that provides a seamless user experience from application to e-signature.”

On-Site is teaching the real estate industry something Apple and Google learned years ago: usability is king. At On-Site, that means bringing the apartment industry up to speed with what today’s consumer expects from an online experience. Conveniently and securely, we allow today’s renter to find an available apartment, qualify and pay for it and then e-sign the lease. Our 100% paperless listing-to-lease platform encompasses marketing, lead generation, risk mitigation, document storage, mobile solutions and cloud computing services. Founded in 1999, the company has been voted Best Resident Screening Service three years in a row and its paperless office platform was a finalist in the First Annual Green Initiatives Awards from Multi-Housing News.
