Online Application 2.0 offers renters a self-sufficient, seamless online application experience while maximizing sales and efficiency for property managers
CAMPBELL, CALIF. – On-Site.com, the top provider of online leasing solutions for the apartment business, announced today that it has launched Online Application 2.0, offering an enhanced range of services for multifamily professionals and their renters. Online Application 2.0 helps property managers take leasing to the next level through a complete online application package comprising: lead management, real-time apartment availability & reservations, screening on-demand and payment processing.
“Today’s renter wants a lot more out of the leasing process than most leasing software can provide,” said On-Site CEO Jake Harrington. “Renters want to complete the leasing workflow—from beginning to end—online and, often from their smart phones.”
Since On-Site pioneered online applications in 2004, it has become, far and away, the preferred channel for renters and property managers to submit and accept rental applications. In its first year, only a handful of communities activated the convenient feature, but adoption quickly grew. By 2007, over a third of all renters who applied to communities using On-Site were doing so 100% online.
So far this year, 76% of renters applied to On-Site-powered properties online (versus on paper) and at many sites adoption is nearly 100%. Not one to rest on its laurels, On-Site has maintained its title as apartment industry tastemaker by taking the traditional online application and adding an impressive array of new features, culminating in the aptly named Online Application 2.0—a self-service application process that delivers qualified new renters right to your virtual doorstep.
- Lead management with guest cards. Renters can call, email or complete a website contact form, a guest card is automatically created and they’ll receive a customizable email response so they know you got the message.
- Real-time apartment availability. Renters can choose and apply to the apartment that best meets their needs based on your actual pricing and availability, updated in real-time.
- Screening on-demand. After choosing an apartment, renters can qualify instantly with screening set to your custom rental criteria, and receive personalized results messaging so you can be the first to tell them, “welcome home.”
- Payment processing. Renters can pay the application fee and submit a holding deposit to reserve their new home. Better still, funds can be deposited directly into your account—a convenience your renters might not notice but you definitely will.
By adding new features such as lead management, real-time apartment availability, screening on-demand and payment processing, property managers can discover new levels of efficiency and ultimately close more leases. Though leasing performance is maximized when all solutions are used together, it’s not a requirement. Some providers only offer packaged products; i.e. you need all products for any one of them to work. On-Site offers solutions that work well alone and even better together so that property managers have the option to choose the product or products that best meet their unique business needs.
