On-Site donates tradeshow booth furnishings to Boston nonprofits

Boston, Mass. – The day after the 2012 National Apartment Association Conference and Expo wrapped up a work crew spent hours carefully breaking down the elaborate On-Site booth. This year, On-Site.com decided to put green living ideas into practice, opting to purchase new booth furnishings and donate them to local charities after the show.

On-Site BoothAccording to On-Site, one of the benefits of online leasing technology is a dramatic reduction in paper waste. To its credit, On-Site continues to promote the virtues of a green workplace by taking measures to reduce waste and recycle materials whenever possible.

That’s why On-Site.com worked with the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority to facilitate the donation of the trade show furnishings. The Authority runs a two-year-old program called Conventions CARE, or Community Assistance by Responsible Events. When all was said and done, On-Site donated three tables, twelve chairs, two cabinets and one large bookcase—brand new furniture valued at more than $1000—to be enjoyed by Boston area families in need for years to come.

Founded in 1999, the company has been voted Best Resident Screening Service three years in a row and its paperless office platform was a finalist in the First Annual Green Initiatives Awards from Multi-Housing News.
